Local Knowledge - Wrightsville Beach
One thing we were told while visiting Wrightsville Beach is that, a while back a boater staying at a one of the marinas had a slip and fall accident while using the marina's shower. That person sued the marina, and as a result the other marinas in Wrightsville Beach decided that having showers in their marinas was too much of a liability, so they got rid of them. Make sure to ask the dockmaster if the marina has a shower before pulling into a slip! However, we were pleased to find that Wrightsville Beach Marina does have showers (verified in July 2001). They are on the East side of the channel, on the south side of the bridge.
