Once a month the Barnacle hosts outdoor full moon concerts. People, kids and pets love Kennedy Park, a 5 minute walk north on S. Bayshore Dr. Safe, open and on the water, there are many paved walks, a Frisbee golf course, children?s jungle gyms, and volleyball courts.

Supermarket, SW 27th Ave. is a 20 minute walk from Dinner Key
Marina, and you can catch a #27 bus going up the street to make the trip
even shorter. Milam?s Supermarket is also a 20 minute walk away, at
Grove Gate on the corner of Bird Ave. and MacDonald Ave (SW32nd. Ave).
Next door is Kmart and a Walgreen?s Drug and liquor store. There are two
closer convenience stores, Kwik Stop on Grand Ave. between The Last Carrot
& the Post Office, and EZ Kwik, on the corner of Bird Ave. and SW 27th
Ave. Organic foods or homeopathic medicines, vitamins and all
natural products are staples at Oakfeed, on Oak Ave.

Landing is a favorite bar and casual dining spot for locals. Live music on
weekends, outdoors & on the water behind Grove Key Marina. Meet live
aboards, cruisers, and local yachties at the bar.

the corner of Mary St. and Grand Ave. Starbucks is across the street on

Shell Lumber Ace Hardware store for your teak, okoume, mahogany, varnish,
hardware, light fixtures, nuts, screws and bolts, plus free coffee,
popcorn, and a courtesy phone. If you need it, chances are Shell has it.

Bird Bath is a 24 hour Laundromat only a short 10 minute walk from
Dinner Key Marina. Walk north up SW 27th Ave, and make a left
on Bird Ave. It is half a block up, on the right side of the street. They
also have laundry & dry cleaning service.
Entertainment
Walking
through the Grove at night is always entertaining, but there are also
movie theaters at Cocowalk & the Streets of Mayfair, and at 3500 Main
Hwy., is the Coconut Grove Playhouse, for plays and drama.
Healthy
for your body and your pocket
Grab
a fresh salad or pita sandwich at The Last Carrot, on Grand Ave in
Coconut Grove, a short 10minute walk from the marina. They also make a
variety of fresh squeezed juices, hummus, chicken and tuna salad, soups
and spinach pies.
The
local post office is only a 12 minute walk from Dinner Key Marina. Walk
down S. Bayshore, turn right on MacFarlane Rd., make a left on Grand Ave.,
and the Post Office will be two blocks down on your right, past the Last
Carrot.
Bus
and Metrorail
The
nearest Metrorail station is on US1 and SW 27th Ave. Metrorail
runs along US 1, south to the malls, S. Miami, Kendall, and Pinecrest, north to downtown
Miami, and onward to northwest Miami to Okechobee. Bus #27 goes up SW 27th Ave, and stops
at the Metrorail station on SW 27th. Bus #42 runs on the hour
and stops at Dinner Key in front of City Hall. It goes to the Douglas Rd.
Metro rail Station and to areas north west of the Grove. Bus #48 stops on
S. Bayshore Dr. in front of the Wyndham Grand Bay Hotel, and goes to
downtown Miami. There are free bus maps at the Metrorail station and at the
Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce.
