Local Knowledge
Miami is home to many full service marinas.
South Florida extends from Palm Beach County south, through Miami-Dade County. A trip down  the Intracoastal Waterway through this area offers many marinas
in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches. For larger vessels, the most popular inlets that access this area from the ocean are Hillsboro Inlet in Palm Beach County, Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, and Government Cut in Miami. All other inlets are for smaller vessels and to attempt them local knowledge is recommended.

Miami marinas are generally located on Biscayne Bay and the Intracoastal. There are now very few marinas on the Miami River due to waterfront development.
