  • How can I get a free listing for my business on SailMiami.com?
    Any marine related company located on the US East Coast can get a free Courtesy Listing on SailMiami.com. To obtain a Courtesy Listing you must submit your company's information through our online form. We reserve the right to publish or not publish any Courtesy Listing request we receive.

  • How long does it take for my free listing to appear on SailMiami.com?
    Generally it takes up to 48 hours for your free Courtesy Listing to appear in the category you request, however during times of high volume of requests it can take longer than 48 hours.
  • How can I get a free link to my website on SailMiami.com?
    SailMiami.com does not publish free links, nor do we particpate in link exchanges with other websites. Because the sole source of our revenue is generated by advertising marine businesses and websites, we cannot publish free links.
    However, if you are an expert in a particular marine field, and are interested in writing articles about your area of expertise, if you submit an article and it becomes published on our magazine, in exchange we will include a link to your website with some biographical information at the end of your article.

    An Extended Listing diferentiates your company from the competition with a three line description of your company's services, plus a link to your website if you have one, your email address, and all of your contact information. The Extended Listing is displayed in a larger font with a bold title. The Extended Listings appear at the top of the page above the Courtesy Listings so our readers see your company first, long before they scroll down the page to where the free listings are located.
  • Why does my company need an Extended Listing on SailMiami.com?
    Your company needs an Extended Listing so that clients can find you first. An Extended Listing makes your company stand out among the other companies in your category. It gives potential clients the information you want them to know about you right from the get go. An Extended Listing is designed to invite your potential clients to call, email or visit your website immediately.
  • What is a banner?
    A banner is a still or animated graphic that attracts the readers eye and interests them in knowing more about your services and visiting your website if you have one.
  • Why does my company need a banner?
    Your company needs a banner to attract your potential client's attention. A banner is very much like a display ad in the Yellow Pages, leading potential clients to call, visit, or learn more about you first, especially when they first scan a page.
  • Do I need a website to have an Extended Listing or a banner?
    No. To advertise with an Extended Listing or a banner you do not need to have a website. Your Extended Listing and/or banner will encourage your clients to call you or email you if you do not have a website.
  • How does SailMiami.com make my banner?
    If you have a website we can create your banner by downloading images from your website. We can create a banner that emulates the design, color scheme and emphasis of your website. We can also use digital or non-digital photographs and images that you provide for us. If you do not have any images, we can arrange for a staff photographer to take photos of your products or services.
  • How much does it cost to make my banner?
    The cost of making the banner is included in the yearly rate of $75. If you require a staff photographer to come and shoot photos for your banner we charge a very reasonable flat fee.

    Because this has proven to be a very effective combination of advertisements, especially when you have a very targeted product or service, such as a Surveyor, Charter company, Boat Yard, etc. The banner draws the reader's attention to the Extended Listing and together they give the reader many reasons why they should contact you.

    Extended Listings usually appear on the page of the category of products or services that your company offers. If your company falls under several different categories, then you may place an Extended Listing in each.
  • How do I choose which page to place a banner for my company?
    You can place your banner on the page of the category your company falls under, next to your Extended Listing, if you have one, or at the top of the page. You may also place a banner on a page that your potential clients access frequently, such as the Classified Ads page, Dockage Listings, Calendar of Events page, etc. Our staff can assist you in determining which pages would be most beneficial for your company.
  • What if I need more than one Extended Listing?
    You can put as many Extended Listings as you need at the low rate of $50 per page. Your Extended Listings appear for one year and include traffic statistics.

    We offer multiple banner packages if you need more than 8 banners.
  • Can I get a discount if I need more than one Extended Listing or banner?
    We offer bulk discount rates for companies that require more than 8 banners.

Your company's webpage includes photos, descriptive text and all of your company's contact information in an attractive format that is unique for your company. It is hosted on our servers and includes a FREE Extended Listing in the category that your company falls under.
  • Why is a webpage on FortLauderdaleBoating beneficial for my company?
    A webpage is an excellent way to increase your companies presence on the internet, whether you already have a website or not. It can be independently submitted to search engines, and it will also take advantage of our website's popularity to bring more targeted traffic to your door!
  • If I purchase a webpage, does it come with anything else?
    Yes, a webpage comes with a FREE Extended Listing for your company, appearing on the page of the category your company falls under.
  • How do I know if my ads on SailMiami.com are sending clients to my company?
    Every paid ad (Extended Listing, banner, webpage, etc.) comes with FREE customized, up-to-the-minute statistics. Your statistics will tell you how many people saw your ad and how many people clicked on it and went to your website.
  • How can I check my ads' statistics?
    Once your ad is active on SailMiami.com, we will send you an email with a username and password and a link to your customized statistics panel. When you click on the link all you have to do is enter the username and password to access your stats.
  • How often can I check my ads' statistics?
    You can check your statistics as often as you need to.
  • Can I download reports from the statistics panel?
    Yes. The statistics panel allows you to download different reports into an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis.
  • What determines the title of an Extended Listing?
    The title of an Extended Listing is determined by the following:
    - The corporation name
    - In the case of a sole proprietorship or partnership the official company name.
    -In the case of a charter vessel or captain, the boat's name or the captain's last name.
    -DBA's are not acceptable as a corporation or company name.
  • What determines the order in which the Extended Listings are displayed?
    The Extended Listings are displayed in alphabetical order by title.
  • What determines the order in which the banners at the top of a category page appear?
    The banners at the top of a category page appear in first-come, first-served order. This is meant to reward our loyal clients and guarantees that your space will never be lower and can only increase if a spot above yours is vacated.
