Boating Specialist - Extreme Sports Camp is a summer camp for young autistic persons based in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. Water activities, such as tubing and wake boarding, provide a unique sensory experience for our autistic campers and are thus very important for the camp (and very fun for the campers!). ESC needs a boating specialist who can handle all things boating- driving, maintenance, etc.- to help give our young autism athletes the summer of their lives. Applicants must have proper safety licensing proving that they're certified to drive a boat. While we have fun, it's also one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have. We maintain a 1:1 kid-counselor relationship which means you get to form a real relationship. Don't get the wrong idea. We work hard. We're at the cutting-edge in the treatment of autism by empowering our kids through extreme sports. That takes dedication, patience and a positive attitude even under pressure. And yes, you WILL get paid. You will get a budget for round trip travel. You will get time off each week. We work long hours and we only accept the best of the best to work with us. The kids that come to our camp are our treasures. And if you come to work with us, you would be too. We are a TEAM, we work hard for a good cause we believe in, we support each other to make sure everyone has a positive experience.
