The Ocean Explorer is a 62 foot dive vessel that operates from Pompano Beach Florida and specializes in liveaboard diving in the Bahamas and Florida. The boat recently moved to Aquamarina at 2315 NE 15th Street in Pompano Beach Florida 33062.

The 2010 dive season brings a number of economic liveaboard specialties to the dive industry and general diving public. Ocean Explorer Charters will customize your three to six day liveaboard Bahamas dive trip with unique and interesting activities during your stay.

The Ocean Explorer kicked off its 2010 dive season with an econo-buster dive trip for three days to Bimini, Bahamas. Our passengers enjoyed beautiful clear blue ocean waters between Cat Key and Victory Reef having great experiences photographing sharks, tropical fish, and spear fishing hog snapper and lobster for fresh dinners that night!

The 2010 dive season also brings aboard local recreational wreck diving, spear fishing and lobster hunting out of the Hillsboro inlet in Pompano Beach which is only ¾ of a mile from our dock. We are ready to operate daily dive charters from our location Tuesday thru Sunday leaving the dock at 8:30 A.M and 1:30 P.M for a two tank half day dive adventure to the waters off of Pompano Beach- Boca Raton area. Our $65.00 two tank dive charter price is economically affordable for all divers looking for a great price. You will be diving on a roomy comfortable boat which includes free beverages hot and cold running shower, professional crew and two dive ladders that easily allow you to exit the water safely.

Future scuba adventures include wild dolphin liveaboards ,tiger shark expeditions more econo-buster three day trips to Bimin, and in 2011 we will be going back to dive the Oriskini in May and June. Ocean Explorer Charters has instructors that are rated with NAUI, SDI/TDI ,PADII,SSI, and IANTD specializing in tech diving and running one tank tech dives to wrecks like the Hydro Atlantic for $75.00 per diver.

The OEX also is rebreather friendly and will be running special dives during the season for rebreathers only. The boat is also equipped with a 15/30 Haskel booster pump which allows us to fill oxygen to 3000psi.
