Miami, FL, – Just in time for Spring Break, it’s time to Board Up™ Miami. On March 7-10, the World’s best wakeboarders descend on Miami for the IWSF Pan Am Region Championships and Board Up™ Miami, South Florida’s premiere wakeboard and music festival.

In its second year, Board Up™ will be preceded by the IWSF Pan Am Region wakeboard championships, where riders from the Americas will be competing for spots for their respective countries and qualify for the Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The winner of each of the amateur age-group divisions, along with the top 15 pro riders will qualify for the main event, Board Up™ on Saturday March 10 from 12-5pm and a chance to win up to $17,000.

Over 150 riders are expected to compete in 5 different divisions, including this year’s addition of a collegiate-only category, and that’s just the beginning. This year’s event will also feature the New Times Expo (where retailers and sponsors can sell and showcase product to their target consumer), swimsuit fashion shows, moto-cross demos, great food with a Latin flair, DJ Irie spinning tracks, as well as headline bands Three Fold Theory and Scar’d Sanity playing live to kickoff and close Saturday’s pro-am.

Tickets are on sale for only $10 for the 4-day event and can be purchased on-line at www.wantickets.com or via the official Board Up™ website. Stay tuned for the Board Up™ Miami rail jam as well, to give South Florida a preview of wakeboarding, not on the water, but on the streets of South Beach! It’s a festival unlike any other, just be prepared to Board Up™ Miami! For the latest news and info, log onto www.board-up.net
