FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (July 14, 2006) --- The Fort Lauderdale waterways are ready to become the center of the marine world once again as the "best of the best" in yachts, boats, marine accessories, electronics, and more, gather at the 47th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® from October 26-30, 2006. With six stunning sites, the world’s largest boat show offers the most comprehensive collection of marine products and services – on land and in water.

- Expansive Superyachts Showcase
The world’s most extravagant superyachts (yachts 80’ and over) from the world’s most esteemed builders create a breathtaking waterfront display. Included among these multi-million dollar superyachts are: 160’ Haakvoort, 132’ Lady Lauren from Perini Navi, 120’ Broward, 191’ Linda Lou from Lurssen, 161’ Northern Marine, and so much more.
- The Superyacht Builders and Designers Tent
Design meets desire in this 60,000 square foot structure, which houses the world’s premier international yacht builders and designers. Show attendees will find themselves surrounded by the finest in custom superyacht engineering, designing, and decorating. Captivating displays from numerous exotic residential and resort island destinations will also be featured here.
- The International Yacht Builders Pavilion
An exhibit not to be missed, this immense 15,000 square foot pavilion is where some of the most internationally influential yacht builders, designers, and shipyards will display the most up-to-date and extravagant options and amenities for yacht building. These exhibits represent a broad array of talent from many countries including New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain, and the United States.
- Powerful Engines
Select from the newest engines, generators and air conditioners for small boats, mid-size cruisers and superyachts from every leading manufacturer worldwide.
- Extraordinary Accessories Tents
Classic or modern, high-tech or high style, the newest designs, innovations and offerings in marine accessories will fill seven humongous tents. Whether looking for a gift, or even better, something for yourself, you will find everything you need and want including marine electronics, fishing equipment, personal watercraft accessories, nautical clothing and jewelry, and more. - Boats On Land
Climb aboard hundreds of trailerable boats, inflatables and personal watercraft that cover the land area.
- Boats In Water
Bahia Mar North Side includes: powerboats, sport fishing boats, family cruisers, high performance boats, brokerage boats and superyachts. Bahia Mar South Side features: sportfishers, motoryachts, picnic boats, trawlers, express cruisers, superyachts and brokerage yachts. Superyachts from 80’ to over 180’ will line the Face Dock.
- More Than Just A Boat Show
While walking the docks, make your way to the International Food Garden and floating cocktail barges. Enjoy scrumptious food, fantastic live entertainment and ultra chic swimsuit fashion shows.
- Hall Of Fame Marina
Brokerage yachts are primarily features at this site, which is located just north of F-dock at Bahia Mar. Superyachts and brokerage boats share the spotlight in water while the Exotic Car Showcase dazzles on land.
- Las Olas Marina
Just a short walk along the floating sidewalk will lead you to Cats On Las Olas, the popular catamaran-only section that features power and sail “cats” from 37’-80’. Cats on display at this site include: Manta 47 from Manta Cats, Charter Cats’ Prowler 480, and The Moorings M4300, M4000, M4600, and many more. The Las Olas Marina also holds a large display of brokerage boats in all sizes from the top builders and brokers in the industry.
Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center: Families, Fishing, And Fun
- Level One
The main floor of the huge convention center will be filled so many boats it looks like a land-based marina. See the world’s best selection of fishing boats, family cruisers, runabouts, flats boats, center consoles, jet boats, engines, fishing equipment and accessories. Marine seminars and the Kids’ Fishing Village are also family fun attractions.
- Level Two
Take a bird’s eye view of the show from the second floor lounge and enjoy a delectable food buffet.
- Level Three
Spotlighted here are accessories of all kinds including jewelry, nautical clothes and shoes, marine artwork, home decor and more.
- Sailfish Pavilion
Across from the Convention Center on the northeast side is the Sailfish Pavilion which will spotlight even more runabouts, trailers, personal watercraft, inflatable boats, high performance boats, center consoles, cuddy cabins, family cruisers and accessories.
Pier 66 Marina & The Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club: The Queen’s Court
Luxurious new and brokerage motoryachts and sailing yachts line these sites, located across from each other on the Intracoastal Waterway. The Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club, formerly the Marriott Portside Marina, is home to the "Queen of the Show", the dazzling 198’ Blue Moon from Feadship.Boat Show Transportation System Makes Your Visit Nice and Easy
By land or water, you can travel between each location by water taxis (sponsored by Yanmar Marine), riverboats or the free show shuttle service, all of which will take you between the show sites only.
