Bring the kids to Strictly Sail (15 and under FREE)and not only do they get in free, they can build a boat while they are there! Parents can relax and visit the show while the kids are safe and having a good time, enjoying a fun, educational activity at the Kids Aboard Academic Boat Building Workshop.
This year, in addition to a 10ft wooden skiff, the kids at the workshop will build a glass-bottom sailboat and launch it on Monday, Feb. 19th. Children and teens ages 6 and up are welcome to participate in the FREE event, while their parents visit the exhibits at Strictly Sail Miami. Each participant will receive a free boatbuilder t-shirt, as well as other goodies provided by the workshop's sponsors.
The workshop will be held every day of the boat show, which runs from Feb. 15-19, 2007. The hours of the workshop are 12 pm - 6 pm. Parents are asked to dress their kids in clothes that do not mind getting a little paint or caulk on them.
