FWC Investigates Fatal Boating Accident in Miami
Father and son boat ride turns tragic

A weekend boat ride with his young son turned tragic for a Miami-area father. Officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are investigating a fatal boating accident that occurred Saturday evening, March 21, in Cutler Bay.
Officers say the victim, Timothy M. Bolles, DOB 8/26/76, of Cutler Bay, was travelling on his boat with his 9-year-old son in a canal behind his home. About 7 p.m., they attempted to travel underneath an overpass when Bolles' head struck the bottom of the overpass. A Good Samaritan heard Bolles' son screaming and called for emergency medical service.
Bolles was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
