Please take note of the following dates and times for Miami River and 12th Ave. Bridge closures. MIASF recommends coordinating your business activities in the area and informing your customers or others who may be impacted.

The U.S. Coast Guard has noticed closures of the Miami River and 12th Ave. bridges in Miami-Dade County from 1100hrs on September 4, 2007 to 1100hrs on September 7, 2007.

The request for closure was made by Kiewit Southern Co. (the contractor) for Miami River Marine Group/Miami River Commission.

The U.S.Coast Guard will be making broadcast notices to mariners regarding the closure and Florida Dept. of Transportation will place signage along the river informing mariners of the closure two weeks in advance.
